Managing Through Change – Sponsored by Jeffrey Gregory

TheGAAP.net: Presents: Managing through Change Sponsored by Jeffrey Gregory Of Desjardins Financial Security Investments Inc.

An interactive online zoom call on Tuesday June 29 @ 7:30 PM

Since the onset of COVID, the one word that describes our lives, both professionally and personally has been “Change”. Some of us relish change as we see it as an opportunity for growth, new learnings, and the chance to do something different. Others, dread it as it creates pressure, venturing into the unknown and being uncertain of what each day brings. Which better describes you?

We have Michael French, a senior Vice President from Robert Half to talk about change. We are all familiar with what has been normal change such as getting promoted or managing a recent merger or dealing with a turbulent economy. As a manager it is up to you to support and guide employees through the transition process whatever it is. The ability to lead and manage through challenging times is critical to a firm’s long-term success and more importantly your own career progression. This presentation takes a look at how change affects employees and what steps you as managers can take to help staff adjust and ensure you all thrive amidst change which we all know is never ending, COVID is just one major example, but there will always be others.

Speaker Bio-Michael French

Michael French is a Regional Vice President with Robert Half, the world’s first and largest specialized temporary staffing firm for accounting, finance and bookkeeping professionals. In his role he over sees several markets across the Greater Toronto Area. He has been with Robert Half for over 15 years and has helped support the growth and success of countless businesses and professional careers in that time.

Mike has witnessed all phases of the job market cycle, first-hand. He is thoroughly familiar with the staffing skills that are currently in demand and is an expert in employment trends within the accounting field.  Prior to joining Robert Half, Mike worked within the construction equipment financing industry.

This will be VERY different from most of the online activities at the moment. This is all about learning and sharing. Therefore, there are a few requirements to ensure we all maximize the benefit of the evening:

  • You will need to have video and audio available and ON. Be willing to speak. Each of us has something to contribute. This is NOT a session to just sit and listen. The power of this session is in sharing.
  • You will need to be present and engaged, not traveling in your car.
  • You will need to schedule 90 minutes.

We look forward to you joining us on the call and your active participation.
