Are you thinking about Accounting as a career?
Is Accounting a good choice?
Accounting has been a long respected career choice since trade first started. It has taken its place as a major player in the professional field and is deserving of its place there. It is one of the most promising professions you could choose today.
Before people decide if they’d like to get into the accounting field, they usually want to know if choosing accounting as a career is a good decision, and what makes it a good or bad choice. It is indeed an excellent choice, especially depending on what you want to do with your life. Let’s not focus on that though, and just focus on the hard facts that make accounting a great choice.
Accounting as a career offers job stability. Unlike other careers that don’t do as well when the economy is having trouble, accounting will always be prospering. Businesses will always have to keep track of their spendings and operations, regardless of whatever is going on in the economy. So you can see how your job would be stable and you would never have to worry about your career field falling behind.
Salaries in Accounting
If you are an accounting professional, you will get to have decent compensation for your work. Of course, the range of salary depends on your level of experience, educational background, job description, location, as well as other factors. Young certified accountants will receive around $30,000 to $60,000 a year, and seasoned accountants or top management officers will receive $200,000 per annum. You will receive great compensation in whatever accounting job you decide to join in.
Diversity of accounting careers
You will have a huge variety of fields, areas, and jobs to choose from. The accounting world is huge and diverse. You can work with a steady shift and routine tasks if you’d like, or you can work freelance with your own clients if you have the sufficient qualifications. Your expertise will be needed to prepare, analyze, or audit business organizations’ financial statements. If you wish to do something a little more outside of the box, you can work as an instructor, write a book and become an author, investigate frauds, or work as an information systems specialist.
You really can work in any industry, at any leadership level that you’d like, as a Professional Accountant.
