Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) is the most extensive federal and provincial incentives program. Each year, the governments give billions of dollars to support companies to innovate their products and services. Whether you are a bakery, an advertising company, a jeweler, a manufacturer, or a software developer/publisher, you could be eligible for this program.

During this online seminar, we will provide an update of the current state of the program and explain the eligibility requirements, the financial impact, the benefits, and how to prepare yourself to best take advantage of your SR&ED-eligible activities, including the introduction of an inexpensive technology search tool that can help you demonstrate due diligence to your SR&ED reviewer and a brief discussion of the interplay between SR&ED and patent eligibility.

Dennis is the Executive Director of the Tax Incentives Practice of KPMG, serving clients in all industries. He has over 17 years of experience at KPMG and is a frequent speaker on topics related to SR&ED. Dennis and his Team have worked in all fields of R&D for national and multinational entities ranging from Technology, Media and Telecommunications to Automotive and Pharmaceuticals, Food and Beverage, Consumer and Industrial Markets and extensively in the Power & Utilities industry.
