About the Speakers

JAMIE MADIGAN

Jamie’s financial planning services are provided at no cost to his clients because he believes that Canadians shouldn’t have to pay to get ahead in life. Knowing that the need for financial literacy and financial planning is now greater than ever before, Jamie empowers each client to develop their own personalized Legacy Insights

Your Legacy Insights will have three main components. First, Jamie gets your money working harder for you to achieve Monetary Proficiency, sharing his knowledge, and providing financial education. Next, he helps you get crystal clear on what you want your Personal Legacy Direction to be. You’ll also benefit from continued access to his extensive Legacy Support Network, strategically cultivated over more than two decades.

He is passionate about connecting with as many Canadians as possible, to serve his clients’ best interests, and empower Canadians on a greater scale to achieve their dreams, while protecting what matters most to you – your family, business, health, and wealth.

Leslie Robinson

Leslie’s primary practice involves helping clients with residential real estate transactions and estate planning. To provide flexible and convenient service, Leslie meets with clients when it works for them, not just during 9-5. He services all over Ontario and meets with clients virtually in his office in downtown Toronto, in homes, or in hospitals if necessary.

Leslie has a particular passion and sensitivity toward incapacity planning. Leslie has been caregiving for his parents for over 20 years. His mother was diagnosed with a rare spinal cord disease, which prevents her from walking. She now has dementia further complicating her care needs. His father experienced several strokes and was in a nursing home for several years before passing away in December 2022. They had assets in the U.S. and Canada to manage through various cross-border structures and plans.   Leslie is also part of a blended family and has two stepdaughters. This has also helped shape how he approaches estate planning for families with children from previous relationships.

Upon being called to the Ontario bar, Leslie worked for a cross-border tax firm practicing estate planning and tax for high-net-worth individuals. He gained profound knowledge about both Canadian and U.S. taxation systems. He opened his practice in early 2022 and primarily works with individuals, whether they are preparing a simple will way up to advanced corporate planning.
