Merriam-Webster defines positive as “fully assured:  confident” How can you successfully embark on this journey of management without being positive; without being fully confident? I believe you accomplish responsibilities, projects etc by using your skills, knowledge, enthusiasm, persistence and by being positive and by outwardly projecting this positiveness to others. Being positive is a state. How do you get there;
