Merriam-Webster defines positive as “fully assured:  confident”

How can you successfully embark on this journey of management without being positive; without being fully confident? I believe you accomplish responsibilities, projects etc by using your skills, knowledge, enthusiasm, persistence and by being positive and by outwardly projecting this positiveness to others. Being positive is a state.

How do you get there; put yourself there. Anthony Robbins has this exercise where you put yourself in state and try to stay in state for 10 days if you fall out of state, even for a minute you must start over. Try it. It is very challenging, however if you can’t stay in that state for the majority of time will you ever win. People look at you differently and react to you in a more positive way and why not. Now you are that positive confident person who projects an air of someone who can get things done. Try it today.
