What is Business Sustainability?

A business may promote its Shared Value and Corporate Shared Responsibility (CSR) practices; focus on Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) reporting; manage the Triple Bottom Line; comply with Environmental regulations; and disclose Climate risks. Is this enough in today’s business world? How might a business meet the needs of society, the planet, and yet still be profitable and be a good corporate citizen?

Why should business care about the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)? Isn’t achieving the SDGs more about what Government and non-profits should do? Who will pay for SDG? Who ‘should’ pay? How and how much?

These are all questions we should be asking ourselves as Finance Leaders. Our job now is more than just help a company maintain a positive cash flow and reduce risk. We are all under pressure to deliver results and be seen to be doing the right thing.

You have likely asked yourself, how any business, government or non-profit, can deliver net-positive benefits… now & in the future…

Join us on Tuesday September 27, 2022 @ 7PM EST to explore new ideas. We are grateful that David Sumpton will be our speaker and he will introduce us to many of these ideas in a new way from our traditional thinking.
