They will also be discussing the latest federal budget’s outlook with respect to Canada’s forthcoming virtual currency backed by CAD; valuation problems with other cryptocurrencies; and valuation issues in the purchase/sale of businesses “in the cloud”, beyond the brick-and-mortar model.

Bios:
Chetan Phull is the Principal Lawyer at Smartblock Law. He has been practicing law since 2013, and is dedicated to helping commercial parties with deals, high-stakes disputes, and digital regulation. In addition to his work through Smartblock Law, he has worked as litigation counsel, general counsel, corporate and privacy counsel, and cyber breach counsel for globally branded companies including Deloitte Legal, Great Canadian Entertainment, and OZ Optics. His recent successes include a complex jurisdiction motion, with $60k awarded costs, against a U.S. multinational in a litigation with $7M+ in dispute.

Dave Oswald is a forensic accountant with over 30 years’ experience, and Founder of Forensic Restitution.
