The AcSB is looking for new members for its User Advisory Council.(as reported in The Standard)

The Council, established by the Accounting Standards Board (AcSB), acts in an advisory role to assist the Board in understanding how users use financial information. Users include:

• investors and investment professionals;
• equity and credit analysts; and
• rating agencies.

The appointment is for a three-year term, with possibility for renewal.

Requirements

• The ideal candidate has experience working with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs) financial statements.
• A detailed technical knowledge of accounting standards is not needed.
